The Family Singers traveled to Pennsylvania to perform and compete in the North American Music Festival. 22 performing students and 3 guests were accompanied by 9 chaperones. The trip included dinner theater in beautiful Lancaster, Pa where they saw “The Unsinkable Molly Brown”, performances at Cumberland Valley High School in Mechanicsburg, Pa followed by a pizza party and swimming at the hotel, and a day at Hershey Park where they attended the Awards Ceremony. Four ensembles performed as has been tradition for almost two decades. This year’s performances were well executed with excitement, passion, and musical connectivity. Each ensemble earned a rating and three of the four ensembles had direct competitors. The Mixed Chorus earned an Excellent Rating taking 2nd Place; Women’s Chorus earned an Excellent Rating taking 2nd Place, Men’s Chorus earned an Excellent Rating, and Steppin’ Out! Earned a Superior Rating and took 1st Place. A great time was had by all. Congratulations Family Singers!!!
